Meet Our Dental Team – Springfield, MO

Victoria joined our team toward the end of 2022! In addition to studying at the American Public University, she has experience in the dental field from working at an insurance company. Now, her favorite part of her job is helping patients with confusing insurance questions and making sure they walk out of our office with a smile.

As for life outside the office, Victoria loves antiquing with her husband, knitting, and playing drums. In fact, she is planning on starting a band with her husband!

In addition to having an impressive 28 years of experience in the dental field, Daphne has been an important member of our team for more than two decades now! Before joining us, she attended the University of Missouri – Kansas City, which is where she earned her bachelor of science in dental hygiene. When asked what her favorite part of her job is, she shared that it’s building rapport with patients, educating them on their dental needs, and helping them feel comfortable with their treatment choices.

When Daphne isn’t at the office, she enjoys going on walking trails with her dog, Schatzi, listening to live music, reading, volunteering in the community, and hanging out with friends and family.

With more than five years of experience in the dental field, Libby joined our team at Galleria Dental of Springfield in 2023. Before that, she studied at Missouri Southern State University, earned her associate of science in dental hygiene, completed advanced training in nitrous oxide and local anesthesia, and became a member of the ADHA! For her, the best thing about being a dental hygienist is helping her patients feel comfortable while improving their overall health through oral hygiene.

Some of Libby’s favorite things to do outside the office are going to the lake, traveling, reading, eating sushi, and spending time with her two dogs, Snoop and Kita. Here’s a fun fact about her: she’s half Dutch!

Sherlyn’s career in dentistry impressively covers over 35 years so far, with almost 20 of them spent right here at our dental office. She completed her education at Mineral Area College and is an Expanded Functions assistant with certifications in CPR and nitrous oxide. She loves being able to help people feel more confident about their smiles through her job, as well as making each appointment a genuinely comfortable experience.

Sherlyn is from Bonne Terre originally, and she has one adult daughter. Outside of work, you can often find her listening to music – Elvis is her top choice, with The Beatles a close runner-up. Other hobbies include watching old movies, spending quality time with her daughter, and being a big animal-lover. Her favorites are dogs and flamingos!

Originally from Arizona, Amber completed her studies at Vatterott College before entering the field of dentistry more than a decade ago. Since then, she has earned her expanded functions certification, which allows her to be much more involved in each of her patient’s journeys to improved oral health. For her, the best thing about her job is helping people feel beautiful and confident about their smiles again!

In her free time, you can most often find Amber with her son, Dakotah. One interesting fact about her is that she has a farm with chickens, horses, and cats!

When it came time to complete her studies, Makayla chose to stay local and attend Ozarks Technical Community College. In addition to earning her associate degree, she completed The Missouri Dental Assisting Skills (MDAS) exam, earned her Orthodontics and Restorative 1 Expanded Functions Certification, and obtained her Nitrous Oxide Certification. Throughout her 8+ year career, she has genuinely loved being able to help others and seeing them walk out of our office with a pain-free smile!

During the evenings and weekends, Makayla loves spending time with her family, working out, and watching T.V. shows. Here’s a fun fact about her: she had a destination wedding in Arizona and saw the venue for the first time on her wedding day!
